The role

You will be responsible for running day-to-day operations for our HQ and local team and contributing to the growth of the regional accounting function. You will not only ensure timely preparation of our general ledger function across our entities. You will also help to drive the improvement of accounting best practices in all operating entities.

You should have/ be

  • An ability to think and work strategically and systemically - continuously prioritizing key deliverables
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think out of the box with solutions that are scalable, sustainable and cost-efficient
  • Strong project management, multitasking and execution abilities
  • Strong communication skills to inspire and influence internal stakeholders (HQ or Markets)
  • Strong teamplayer with ability to mentor, guide and inhibit positive influence on juniors and peers.

Main responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements for local and group reporting, ensuring they meet both local and group reporting requirements
  • Assist in managing compliance with financial regulations and support internal and external audit processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting operation efficiency and implement best practices to streamline processes
  • Review work and provide support to team members, offering guidance and mentorship to enhance their development.
  • Liaise and work closely with key business stakeholders across various regions and functions to address accounting issues and queries
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of relevant experience
  • An ability to think and work strategically and systemically - continuously prioritizing key deliverables
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think out of the box with solutions that are scalable, sustainable and cost-efficient
  • Strong project management, multitasking and execution abilities
