Senior Finance Executive - General Ledger

The Senior Finance Executive - General Ledger assists in maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations. They supervise areas within the Finance Department, including accounts payable and cashiering, in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsibilities adapt as needed based on office structure.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain harmonious relationships with all departments and the Home Office.
• Assist in internal controls to safeguard assets and resources.
• Supervise accounts payable, cashiering, and other areas as directed.
• Assist in other accounting office areas as needed.
• Understand and follow the Accounting & Finance Manual.
• Maintain knowledge of Month-End processes, including financial statement preparation, accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Understand the current USALI edition.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and ensure accuracy of counts, prices, and valuations.
• Safeguard cash assets through bank reconciliations and reporting discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end adjustments and reconciliations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a Finance Department, preferably in a hotel.
• College education or equivalent experience.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both reading and writing.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, both reading and writing.
• Legal right to work in Malaysia.
