POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Finance Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting financial reporting, and assisting in strategic financial planning. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of accounting principles and business processes.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Perform financial analysis to support business decision-making.

• Oversee and manage general ledger accounting activities.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Supervise and manage AP/AR processes and ensure timely settlements.

• Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.

• Follow up on outstanding receivables and maintain aging reports.

4. Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure timely submission of tax filings (e.g., SST, corporate tax, withholding tax).

• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and relevant laws.

5. Audit & Internal Controls

• Coordinate and support external and internal audits.

• Implement and monitor internal control systems to mitigate financial risks.

6. System & Process Improvement

• Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems and workflows.

• Participate in system upgrades or transitions (e.g., new accounting system implementation).

• Guide and support junior finance staff in their tasks and development.

• Act as a key point of contact for finance-related queries from other departments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related fields.

• Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.

• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

• Experienced in computerized accounting system, preferably AutoCount/Excel and E-Invoice systems.

• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks and other statutory bodies/authorities

• Familiar with the preparation of annual budget and forecasts.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Committed sense of urgency, responsible and hard working.

• Good organizational, interpersonal skills and good in communication skills Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.

• Applicants must be willing to work in Puchong, Selangor.
