Job description

Company Overview

Our client, specializes in manufacturing and marketing products such as corrugated fibreboards, carton boxes, and multi-wall industrial paper bags. Our client is recognized as the largest independent paper sack converter in Southeast Asia.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee the whole financial operation including AP, AR, fixed assets, inventories, taxes, financial accounting and management accounting; manage its statutory reporting and compliance requirements
  • Review monthly financial forecast including P& L and cash flow for business planning and performance review
  • Ensure smooth operations of the department in terms of timely management accounts and other projection required
  • Prepare forecast, budget and monitor actual performance
  • Work with all division head on budget preparation and to achieve cost control for overall profitability improvement
  • Responsible for the tax affairs of the company
  • Liase with auditors, tax agents, banks, company secretary and other statutory bodies/authorities
  • Manage and oversee cash flow projection of the company
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and other regulatory requirements including accounting, legal secretarial and tax matters
  • Oversee trade facilities and forex transaction
  • Prepare specific records and mentoring for subordinates
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for subordinates
  • To monitor the costing related to customer accounts & make sure the manufacturing account being monitored as close as possible
  • To assist in financial year-end audit, monthly and yearly closing of account
  • Other duties, ensure all other duties and projects are done by the department head and other senior managers

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or manufacturing accounts and costing
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
