Gosford Leather Industries is seeking a Financial Manager to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The role requires at least 5 years of GL experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a detail-oriented approach. Timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial results, along with the preparation of annual reports, financial statements, and quarterly reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards, listing, and other regulatory requirements.
Prepare general ledger journals, conduct monthly account reconciliations, and perform variance analysis.
Support internal and external audits, government regulatory reporting, and secretarial matters.
Maintain and capitalize fixed assets, process asset movements, complete fixed asset postings, depreciation, reporting, and analysis.
Review inventory variances regularly and highlight items exceeding tolerance levels or exceptional items to the Finance Manager.
Liaise with financial institutions, auditors, lawyers, tax agents, and other external parties, including regulatory bodies, on financing and accounting matters.
Implement and manage collections according to the company's policies and procedures.
Ensure timely follow-up on delinquent accounts receivable with customers and the sales team.
Process and generate reminder letters and monthly statements.
Generate monthly sales and aging reports for management.
Reconcile accounts receivable with customer accounts to minimize disputes.
Match POs, goods receipts, and invoices, record accurately, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Complete monthly closing activities such as bank and intercompany reconciliations on schedule.
Perform supplier statement reconciliations accurately and timely.
Verify that all transactions in Accounts Payable are approved and recorded correctly for monthly closing.
Ensure all approved supplier invoices are paid within the credit terms.
Process employee claims and ensure timely payment.
Perform ad-hoc assignments and projects as directed by the Finance Manager.
· Minimum of 5 years relevant GL experience.
· Knowledge of Autocount system is an advantage.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
· Positive attitude, detail-oriented, responsible, and committed.
· Able to multitask and meet deadlines efficiently.
· Quick learner with the ability to apply relevant knowledge.
· Team player.
