Job description

If you are commercially minded and looking to join a manufacturing business that will challenge your business partnering skills rather than bog you down in the details of month-end processes, then it would be great to speak with you.

You will join a manufacturing company that has nearly tripled its revenue over the past 5 years! Currently with a turnover of over £75m and continuing to grow, it operates in a fast-paced, modern, and innovative FMCG manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on added value business partnering. You will work closely with the Head of Operations / GM and the factory SLT for this thriving business unit.

The core management accounts preparation and balance sheet work are handled by a central team. You will have the freedom to take the management pack into the business to influence positive change and support commercially impactful decisions.

This is a great business – a subsidiary of a FTSE 250 group that offers significant career progression for the right candidate. If you are an experienced finance professional who enjoys the dynamic environment of manufacturing and is comfortable at a site finance leadership level, this role offers high involvement and rewards.

You will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including developing and standardising commercial and operational reporting, long-range forecasting, capex and ROI projects, cost analysis, and operational KPI reviews. The role is crucial and involves close collaboration with the SLT.

You will manage a small team of junior Finance Business Partners based locally.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience in finance business partnering within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Good understanding of profit and cost levers in a growth-focused business.
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with operational leadership teams.
• Proactivity and enthusiasm for engaging with the business to identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiency.
• Ability to influence strategic and long-term planning, alongside managing day-to-day tactical accounting and business partnering.
• CIMA qualification or equivalent is required.
