A leading global biopharma company is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to manage month-end close and financial reporting processes. This role requires substantial experience in financial accounting and offers an opportunity to lead and mentor junior analysts. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a finance-related degree, alongside proficiency in SAP.
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will participate in month-end GL (general ledger) close and reporting of entity’s results. You will be responsible in the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, review of journal entries and execution of internal control in accordance with GSK Internal Control Framework. You will collaborate with stakeholders and other functions (e.g., LOC, P2P, O2C, Banking, Stat & Tax, etc) to ensure successful month-end close. You will be responsible for the financial reporting of the designated legal entities and provide guidance and on-the-job trainings to analyst members within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the month-end close of the General Ledger (GL) and reporting of the entity's financial results. Responsible for the preparation and review of Profit and Loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations, including the review and preparation of journal entries and the execution of internal controls in accordance with the GSK Internal Control Framework
Provide Close & Control (C&C) transaction processing support, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes in terms of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness on a daily basis
Resolve general accounting and reporting issues, such as Bison errors
Execute month-end close procedures in alignment with the month-end close checklist (MEC) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring that all activities on the MEC are updated
Implement internal controls in accordance with the GSK Internal Control Framework
Conduct a review of monthly Balance Sheet schedules and reconciliations as needed. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on Balance Sheet Reconciliations, particularly regarding open items
Review and process rebate claims and perform monthly rebate reviews
Pension review and roll-over
Review payroll account (i.e. Annual reconciliation for Workcover and Mydays
Perform Intercompany cross charge monthly/quarterly and annual ANZ service cross charge
Ensure compliance with GSK policies, as well as local legal and statutory requirements.
Address and resolve stakeholder queries in a timely, responsible, and proactive manner.
Collaborate with stakeholders and other functions (e.g., LOC, P2P, O2C, Banking, Stat & Tax) to ensure a successful month-end close.
Perform initial analysis and analytical review of Profit and Loss accounts and the balance sheet.
Undertake additional ad-hoc activities, including:
Participation in compliance audits and responding to audit queries.
Performing tasks as required by the evolving business environment
Support in P9/P12 profitability review
Basic Qualifications
Degree with Finance / Accounting. CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum 8 years experience in Financial Reporting / Auditing experience including areas on financial accounting and reporting and statutory filing
Why You

Experience in working in shared service centre in financial accounting or auditing are preferred.

Attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Self-motivated and displays initiative in solving problems.
Ability to plan and manage workload to ensure all key deadlines is met.
