Key Responsibilities
- Full-Set Accounts Management: Handle full-set accounts and perform month-end and year-end closing to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Statutory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting and tax statutory requirements.
- Liaison with External Parties: Act as the main contact for external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to coordinate audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
- Supervision & Mentorship: Guide and supervise junior accountants, review their work for accuracy, provide training, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
- 3+ years of work experience in accounting and auditing related fields.
- Able to converse in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Strong focus on precision in financial records and reporting to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Effective interpersonal skills to liaise with auditors, tax agents, secretaries, and team members.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
