Job summary

Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a Field Application Engineer to bridge between engineering teams and customers, driving design-in and design-win opportunities across Malaysia and Indonesia. Based in KL or Penang, you will be the technical expert supporting customers and partners.

The role requires 7–10 years in FAE or Technical Sales in electronics, a degree in engineering, and fluency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia. Travel up to 50% is expected across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in Field Application Engineering or Technical Sales within electronics components, interconnect, or semiconductor industry.
• Understanding of electronics manufacturing ecosystem in Malaysia and automotive/E-Mobility supply chains in Indonesia.
• Ability to read technical drawings and discuss mechanical and thermal performance with engineers.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate with customers.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) across Malaysia and Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical expert for company products across the assigned territory.
• Drive design-in and design-win activities with customers' R&D and engineering teams from concept to mass production.
• Conduct technical product presentations, architecture reviews, and training sessions for customers and distribution partners.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with global product managers to resolve challenges.
• Develop system-level interconnect proposals tailored to applications like battery management systems and vehicle controllers.
