Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. Central Engineering (CE) - Product Yield Improvement (PYE) is seeking a Senior FA Engineer to provide fault isolation and physical failure analysis for qualifications, returns, and new device introductions.

You will become the domain expert in FA methods, understand product architecture and process flow, and work with Process Integration, Product, Test, and Quality teams to classify defect descriptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with team collaboration.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Advanced electrical device characterization to identify failure mechanisms.
• Operate fault isolation and physical failure analysis tools to locate defects.
• Perform physical failure analysis to identify defects and root causes.
• Develop hypotheses on failure mechanisms to support process improvement.
• Collaborate with frontend/backend and GQ teams to resolve defects.
• Prepare and present findings on electrical and physical failure mechanisms weekly.
• Develop new fault isolation/physical FA techniques.
• Lead and coordinate CE PYE technicians to maintain high uptime.
