Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer, Electrical to lead critical electrical infrastructure projects and advance digital initiatives across facilities.

• 5+ years in electrical facilities engineering, power distribution, or critical infrastructure.
• Experience with high-voltage systems and distribution networks.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems and Energy Management Systems.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with renewable energy systems and power quality analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to balance priorities and work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement electrical systems for facility operations.
• Lead adoption of AI, ML, and digital technologies to improve reliability, energy efficiency, and operational performance.
• Deploy AI-enabled predictive maintenance for high and low-voltage electrical equipment to prevent operational failures.
• Apply advanced analytics and intelligent monitoring systems to analyze data from various power and energy management systems.
• Develop and maintain digital dashboards and visualization tools for performance monitoring and management decision-making.
• Support Digital Twin technologies for improved capacity planning, risk assessment, and facility expansion.
• Apply advanced techniques to detect anomalies and inefficiencies in electrical systems.
• Collaborate with IT, Automation, Data Science, and Global Facilities teams to integrate innovative solutions.
• Improve technical troubleshooting and operational reporting using Generative AI and engineering copilots.
• Implement intelligent alarm management and automated fault diagnostics to minimize downtime and improve resilience.
• Drive Smart Facilities initiatives through automation, predictive analytics, and data-driven strategies.
• Optimize preventive maintenance schedules and equipment replacement strategies using AI analytics.
• Plan, schedule, and manage electrical instrument services and relay calibration in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience working with Building Management Systems and Energy Management Systems.
• Familiarity with renewable energy systems and power quality analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ambitious with the ability to balance dynamic priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PPT, Excel, and presentation skills.
