Job summary

Micron Technology in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer, Electrical to lead electrical systems for critical infrastructure and to drive digitization through AI, ML, and digital twins. You will collaborate with IT, Automation, Data Science and Global Facilities to enhance reliability and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities include deploying AI-driven maintenance, developing dashboards, and ensuring compliance with safety and electrical standards while planning capacity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical facilities engineering or related environments.
• Proficiency in managing high-voltage systems and electrical distribution networks.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with Building Management Systems and Energy Management Systems.
• Familiarity with renewable energy systems and power quality analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ambitious with the ability to balance dynamic priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Develop and maintain digital dashboards for performance monitoring and decision-making.
• Support Digital Twin technologies for capacity planning and risk assessment.
• Apply advanced techniques to detect anomalies and inefficiencies in electrical systems.
• Collaborate with IT, Automation, Data Science, and Global Facilities teams to integrate solutions.
• Improve troubleshooting and operational reporting using Generative AI and copilots.
• Implement intelligent alarm management and automated fault diagnostics to minimize downtime.
• Drive Smart Facilities initiatives through automation and data-driven strategies.
• Optimize preventive maintenance schedules and replacement strategies using AI.
• Plan, schedule, and manage electrical instrument services and relay calibration per regulations.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
