Job summary

Syarikat Ong Sdn Bhd, an established Chartered Accountants firm in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking a dedicated tax professional to join our tax advisory and compliance team. You will manage and oversee tax compliance for a portfolio of clients across industries and provide expert advice on tax matters.

The role involves handling tax audits, liaising with clients and LHDN, ensuring timely submissions, and contributing to ad hoc advisory tasks and research on latest tax developments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of clients across various industries.
• Provide expert advice on tax-related matters to clients.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle tax audits and investigations efficiently.
• Liaise with clients and relevant authorities during the audit process.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing inquiries, and responding to correspondence from the LHDN and other relevant authorities.
• Ensure timely submission of all required tax documents and reports, managing deadlines effectively.

Job description

2. Tax Audit and Investigation:

• - Demonstrate the ability to handle tax audits and investigations efficiently.
• - Liaise with clients and relevant authorities during the audit process.

3. Client Relations:

• - Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing inquiries, and responding to correspondence from the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) and other relevant authorities.

4. Deadline Management:

• - Ensure timely submission of all required tax documents and reports, managing deadlines effectively.

5. Advisory Tasks:

• - Execute and perform research for ad hoc assignments as required.
• - Stay informed about the latest tax developments and identify potential tax implications for clients.
• - Assist in tax impact assessments for new business ventures, investments or regulatory changes

6. Administrative Tasks:

• - Undertake any other ad hoc administrative tasks and responsibilities to support the smooth functioning of the tax department.
