Job summary

AYER Holdings Malaysia is seeking a Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join our environmental team in Selangor. You will collect and verify group-wide data on energy, waste, and water usage to feed our annual sustainability reports, draft policies, and liaise with internal units and external customers to communicate AYER’s commitments.

You will develop training materials, support audits, and help manage sustainability projects and budgets, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural/Environmental Science/Sustainability or related field.
• 2–3 years' experience in environmental sustainability, crop/plantation management or related areas.
• Good knowledge of property/oil palm industry and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• a) Reporting Support: Collecting and verifying group-wide data for energy, waste, and water usage to feed into annual sustainability reports.
• b) Policy Drafting: Assisting in the creation of sustainable organizational policies and conducting cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives.
• c) Internal Liaison: Proactively communicating AYER’s sustainability commitments, operational practices, and the value created to all stakeholders, acting as the primary liaison for both internal business units and external customers.

• d) Audit Support: Reviewing audit results to create concrete action plans for target areas and managing energy management systems.
• e) Training & Education: Developing workshops and training materials to educate colleagues on their rights and responsibilities regarding environmental protection.
• f) Others: Perform any other related functions as required by management or stipulated by group operational directives i.e., sustainability related project timelines, departmental workplans, and budget utilisation to ensure effective execution of sustainability goals, initiatives and reporting deliverables.

Requirement

• a) Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural/ Environmental Science/ Sustainability or related fields.
• b) Experience: At least minimum 2-3 years' experience in Agricultural and Property sector related in environmental sustainability, crop/ plantation management, property development and agronomy is desirable.
• c) Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge of the property and/or oil palm industry.
• d) Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, written & spoken.
• e) Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Malaysia and Global standards such as GRI, SASB, and the NSFR (IFRS S1 & S2) i.e.
  • Ability to manage large datasets and utilize digital tools for sustainability performance tracking.
  • Understanding of local environmental regulations and compliance requirements specific to companies listed on Bursa Malaysia.
