This role is responsible to support any of the key projects, initiatives and engagement activities to drive digital innovation and align with MDEC’s objectives. The candidate will also act as MDEC’s ambassador in the region, building and nurturing partnerships with state government, agencies, and key stakeholders including Malaysia Digital companies and industry players in the Northern region.
Strategic Planning And Execution
- Enhances collaborative partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their interests are integrated into strategic decisions
- Assist in establishing, strengthening, and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, and educational institutions. This includes facilitating collaborations, engaging in stakeholder discussions, and ensuring alignment between MDEC’s initiatives and the region’s digital transformation goals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Enhances collaborative partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their interests are integrated into strategic decisions
- Support MDEC in meetings and discussion with government agencies, industry leaders and international partners.
- Facilitate with state governments, agencies and industry associations to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities, and identify opportunities for collaboration and support.
Operational And Data
- Track performance indicators, compile reports and provide regular updates on the progress of various initiatives to ensure objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Oversee administrative and office operations including budger for the efficient functioning of the state office.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of stakeholder contacts, engagement activities and to support dashboard enhancements with data related to the region and states.
- Support the day-to-day operations of key projects ensuring timely execution of initiatives.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Project or Stakeholder Management or related role.
- Familiarity with Malaysia’s digital landscape and industry trend.
- Proven ability to support the management of strategic projects and contribute to regional industry growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
