A leading company in fintech seeks a Risk Management Executive. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in fintech.
• Familiar with Bank Negara Malaysia and PayNet guidelines.
• Relevant professional certification in risk management is a plus.

Job description

Lead and coordinate risk management processes across all departments.

Partner with risk owners to develop and implement mitigation strategies.

Conduct periodic Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and ensure timely resolution of identified risks.

Regulatory & Internal Reporting

Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and ensure accurate, timely submission to relevant stakeholders and regulators.

Support preparation of periodic risk reports including Operational Risk Reporting (ORR)& Monthly/Quarterly Management Reports

Evaluate and support risk assessments for new products, services, or fintech initiatives.

Assist in credit risk reviews and control checks related to new offerings or partnerships.

Governance & Policy Compliance

Ensure compliance with internal risk policies, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

Validate risk registers, perform sample testing, and support department-level risk assessments.

Maintain and update company-wide risk registers and coordinate follow-up actions.

Strategic Risk Initiatives

Support annual risk management workshops with senior management, including preparation of materials and documentation of outcomes.

Assist in scenario analysis and enterprise risk planning exercises.

Other Responsibilities

Provide support for risk committee meetings (e.g., RMC), including material preparation and documentation.

Handle ad hoc tasks and special projects assigned by the Head of Risk.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in fintech, digital banking, or financial services.

Relevant professional certification in risk management will be an added advantage.

Familiar with Bank Negara Malaysia and PayNet guidelines is a plus advantage.
