Job summary

Duopharma Biotech is seeking a Risk Management Executive to assist in all matters related to Group Risk Management. This role involves conducting risk assessments, preparing reports, and enhancing risk competencies within the organization. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in risk management or compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in risk management or compliance, preferably in a PLC.
• Certified Enterprise Risk Technician / Enterprise Risk Advisor.
• Familiarity with ISO 31000, COSO ERM Framework, Bursa Malaysia's requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager in Group Risk Management and operational risk assessments.
• Prepare key risk profiles and conduct project risk assessments.
• Plan and execute Risk Management awareness activities.

Job description

To assist Manager (Risk) in all matters pertaining to Group Risk Management.

To assist HOD on ad hoc basis where required in all matters pertaining to Group Risk Management.

Performing and assisting in operational and project risk assessment.

Preparing key risk profile reporting for the Group and subsidiaries.

Key Accountabilities

Prepare Group Key Risk Profile (Top-Down & Bottom-Up approach), including risk register clean-up exercise on Diligent One platform on a quarterly basis.

Prepare Regional Subsidiaries (DSing, PTDHI, DBPhils) Key Risk Profile semi-annually.

Conduct Project Risk Assessment related to CAPEX that includes risk register review and the development of risk profile, project charter and board paper.

Plan, coordinate and execute all Risk Management awareness and engagement activities for the improvement of the risk competencies of all employees.

Assist Manager/HOD and any other related department or risk owner on climate-related risk management matters.

Assist Manager/HOD on emerging risk management matters: emerging risk identification and assessment, including performing analysis and preparing routine and ad hoc reporting.

Assist Manager & HOD on any other risk management related matters whenever needed, i.e., KRI setting and monitoring, Risk Appetite monitoring, Financial Risk related matters etc.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Engineering, IT or any related field.

Certification:

Certified Enterprise Risk Technician / Enterprise Risk Advisor by IERP.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in risk management, internal audit, or compliance, preferably in a public listed company (PLC).

Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia’s Listing Requirements, Malaysian Corporate Governance (MCCG), ISO 31000 Risk Management Framework, COSO, etc.

Exposure to financial, operational, and regulatory risks in industries like pharmaceutical manufacturing & distribution, banking, construction, property.

Specialized Skills / Knowledge:

Strong understanding of ISO 31000 (Risk Management Guidelines), COSO ERM Framework, Bursa Malaysia’s Corporate Governance & Risk Management Requirements.

Proficiency in:

Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Ability to assess:

Market Risk

Strategic Risk (M&A, business model risks)

Reputational & ESG Risks

Drafting Board-level risk reports and Risk Committee presentations

Proficiency in risk heat mapping and scenario analysis

Experience in risk training and workshop facilitation for staff

Proficiency in risk dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) and GRC software

Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

Knowledge of risk management software (e.g., Diligent One)

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior management

High integrity & attention to detail
