Your Key Accountabilities
- Conduct research on market trends related to master planning design and unique selling points (USP).
- Explore product composition to optimize marketability and financial returns.
- Assist in exploring and setting the design direction for projects to Interior Designers (IDs).
- Ensure all designs related to Interior Design and other aesthetic aspects align with Sunway’s design standards.
- Maintain high detail levels in design to prevent errors and costs, reviewing and coordinating drawings with consultants during implementation.
- Review design documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications, and schedules from ID Consultants.
- Build a pool of competent Interior Designers.
- Oversee selection and procurement of furniture, finishes, and materials, ensuring compliance with standards, functionality, and budget.
- Ensure designs meet local building codes and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in interior design, focusing on high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects, including product development, strategic planning, and implementation, preferably with a property developer or consultancy.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D)
- Experience with SketchUp or similar 3D modeling tools
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong knowledge of space planning, materials, furniture, lighting, and color theory
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining quality
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills
- Knowledge of QESH Management, HIRARC, ESH legal requirements, and EHS practices is a plus
