Job Responsibilities

HSSE Advisory Services

  • Advise and monitor compliance with HSSE legal requirements for activities carried out within hospital sites.
  • Provide HSSE guidance to Facility Management (FM) and Operations teams on safety-related matters.
  • Recommend HSSE improvement plans based on findings from workplace inspections and compliance assessments.
  • Identify HSSE hazards, conduct risk assessments, and propose appropriate risk control measures in accordance with the hierarchy of controls.
  • Serve as the key person accountable for HSSE matters at the base site and coverage sites.

Safety Operation Services

  • Plan and conduct HSSE compliance assessments and inspections.
  • Organize and lead HSSE Committee Meetings, act as the Secretary, and coordinate the Environmental Performance Monitoring Committee (EPMC) meetings.
  • Execute activities under the HSSE Integrated Activity Plan and the Injury Reduction Plan.
  • Participate in online HSSE reporting and provide guidance to staff on system usage.

HSSE Compliance & Incidence Management

  • Monitor compliance with HSSE legal requirements for all tasks carried out at healthcare service sites.
  • Implement and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
  • Enforce company rules and regulations, ensuring compliance among all staff and contractors on-site.
  • Participate in external programs conducted by regulatory bodies such as the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), and BOMBA.
  • Respond to and follow up on notices received from DOSH and DOE.
  • Monitor and track HSSE performance indicators, ensuring timely updates and reporting.
  • Submit monthly performance updates and follow up on audit findings to ensure closure and compliance.
  • Initiate incident investigations, provide detailed reports, and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Analyze incident statistics and trends across operational sites to identify areas for improvement.

HSSE Programs

  • Identify and attend relevant training programs for personal development and to enhance HSSE competency.
  • Organize and conduct HSSE programs including inductions, briefings, and awareness sessions for Edgenta Healthcare Solutions staff and subcontractor workers.
  • Plan and implement campaigns such as Safety Day to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Assist in ad hoc HSSE tasks and projects as required.
  • Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement Department initiatives, such as Project Charters.

Stakeholder Management

  • Participate in meetings and forums organized by the Group, HQ, and Regional teams.
  • Represent the company in external programs conducted by the Ministry of Health (MOH), including MQSH audits and Flying Squad audits by Bahagian Perkhidmatan Kejuruteraan (BPK) or Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri (JKN).
  • Conduct training sessions as requested by MOH on occupational safety and health (OSH) and environmental matters.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/ or Occupational Safety & Health management or any related field.
  • At least 4 to 6 years of experience in HSSE.
  • Certified OSH or Environmental or OSH internal auditor.
  • Competence as OSH Coordinator, Internal Auditor for OSH & Environment an added advantage.
  • Hands on experience in Safety & Health management, Workplace Inspection, Technical HSSE, Occupational Safety & Health Management System.
