• Understanding of AI research ecosystems, emerging technologies, and innovation frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership development capability, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to translate research initiatives into practical programs and to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong project coordination and cross-border collaboration management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop strategic global research partnerships aligned with Sarawak’s AI priorities and innovation agenda.
• Coordinate joint research initiatives, collaborative pilots, and international exchange programs with global partners.
• Facilitate the development and negotiation of MoUs, research agreements, and collaboration frameworks.
• Enable access to global expertise, datasets, research networks, and advanced research infrastructure, and support knowledge transfer.
• Work closely with AI scientists and engineers so partnerships align with live research programs and strategic priorities.
• Represent SAIC and Sarawak in international research forums, conferences, and partnership engagements, and act on behalf of the CEO where required.
• Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, research outputs, and collaboration outcomes.
