Job description

A Senior Executive will be responsible for the month-end closing of accounts for the Company and its subsidiaries, assisting the HoD of FRP in delivering financial reports to ManCo, BARIC, the Board, and other stakeholders.

In This Role You Will
  1. Prepare and recommend timelines for the monthly management accounts of the Company and subsidiaries, and for the consolidated financial statements, for review by the Manager/Senior Manager and the HoD.
  2. Act as the Account manager for assigned subsidiaries, maintaining bank accounts and preparing full management accounts in accordance with company policies and standards.
  3. Manage submission of management accounts and prepare consolidated financial statements in line with policies and standards.
  4. Collaborate with team members to prepare journal vouchers, supporting documents, and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  5. Assist in resolving month-end closing issues by liaising with relevant departments and providing necessary data.
  6. Manage asset capitalization and reconciliation between FRP records and the Tenancy Management Department.
  7. Participate in statutory audits by preparing schedules, supporting documents, draft financial statements, and addressing audit queries.
  8. Assist in taxation matters by liaising with tax agents and IRB, preparing tax assessments, estimations, and handling audits.
  9. Support budget preparation by providing financial data and preparing subsidiary budgets.
  10. Participate in financial system upgrades.
You're A Great Fit If You Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • Membership in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants or other recognized accounting bodies is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Ability to prepare full sets of accounts.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and systems.
  • Resilience and capacity to work long hours during closing periods and system transitions.
