Job Description
OVERVIEW
- Provide Level 2 support and act as a subject matter expert in the respective IT domain.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and enhancement of servers and infrastructure services setup and configuration.
- Support line managers in guiding junior engineers to complete daily tasks.
- Perform system administration tasks for Microsoft Windows servers (2008R2 to 2019), including software installation, performance diagnostics, and issue resolution.
- Administer Active Directory (2003 to 2019) and manage Group Policy.
- Manage Microsoft System Center components such as Configuration Manager, Data Protection Manager, and Operations Manager (preferably 2012 R2).
- Have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with hypervisor technologies like VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Possess working knowledge of cloud tools and services, with Azure experience preferred.
- Expertise in server, storage, and Windows technologies.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks and protocols.
- Plan and implement Disaster Recovery strategies using Veeam Availability Suite.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and health checks for servers quarterly.
- Collaborate effectively within the team and maintain good relationships with team members and internal users.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or professional degree in Computer Science/Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
- Professional certifications such as MCSE, MCITP, VCP, PRINCE2/PMP, VMCE are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2008R2 - 2019), Active Directory, SAN storage, VMware, and Hyper-V environment administration.
- Experience in deploying and managing DHCP, DNS, Veeam Backup, and Windows File Server.
- Practical experience with Active Directory GPO and system-level security implementation.
- Microsoft PowerShell scripting skills are a plus.
