Responsibilities
- The Purchasing Senior Executive is to support the Manager / Senior Manager to ensure smooth and efficient process of the department. This includes effective supervision and training to Executives/Assistants, implementing business guidelines and policies, formulating and executing sourcing strategies, liaising closely with inter department personnel, demonstrating purchasing values and Company Core Values.
- Lead respective section in handling daily activities and monitoring team performance.
- Manage sourcing activities for indirect materials and general items.
- Source for new vendors that will offer better price, quality, delivery and services.
- Ensure new supplier qualifications meet safety, technical and commercial requirements.
- Handle issues/problems by end user.
- Prepare tender/RFQ documents and handle all tendering/RFQ and negotiation process.
- Drive cost savings activities.
- Work closely with other functions to achieve highest internal customer satisfaction.
- Implement and adhere to SOPs, Code of Business Conduct in area of responsibilities.
- Conduct suppliers/contractor evaluation as per SOP required evaluation schedule.
- Ensure purchasing assistants work according to existing SOPs and policies.
- Assist in driving improvements to purchasing's processes, 5S and decision support system.
- Monitor and update KPI for assistants.
- Supervise and provide training to assistants.
- Carry out other duties or tasks as assigned by superior from time to time.
- Ensure supplier on time delivery as per end user request.
- Perform inbound on progress claim orders.
- Maintain proper filing system for purchasing documents.
- Coordinate the former shipment, update the duty exemption checklist from time to time.
- Prepare comparison table for requested items for management review.
- Handle ISO and ensure all documents are up-to-date.
- Ensure the new system runs smoothly by providing guidance and support to the user from time to time.
- Any other tasks assigned by your superior.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor Degree in any field from an accredited University.
- Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Technical and Professional Knowledge: Strong knowledge of procurement methods including sourcing, tendering, negotiation, supplier management, contract administration & etc.
- Strong PC skills in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
