Primary Responsbility
- To promote and sell sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) solutions.
- To identify potential clients, understanding their sustainability needs, and offering tailored solutions that align with their ESG goals and regulatory requirements.
- Constantly update management of latest trends in demand for products, SGS Market share, and success and problems in marketing and selling identified products.
Specific Responsibility
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in ESG and sustainability sectors.
- Promote and sell ESG-related services, such as ESG reporting tools, consultancy, training, carbon footprint assessments, sustainability certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 50001), and impact measurement tools.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with corporate sustainability teams, compliance officers, and C-level executives.
- Understand industry trends, ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, SASB), and regulatory developments (e.g., Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting).
- Work with internal technical consultants to develop tailored proposals and presentations.
- Conduct sales presentations, product demos, and attend relevant ESG-related conferences and expos.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and report on sales activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop ESG-focused campaigns and promotional content.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on market trends and client needs.
- Negotiate contract terms and close sales deals that maximize value for both the client and the company.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities using CRM tools.
- Provide regular reports and insights on sales performance, pipeline status, and market feedback to management.
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Sustainability, or related field.
- 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably in sustainability, ESG, or consultancy services.
- Good understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and corporate sustainability practices.
- Comfortable engaging with senior executives and technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, SASB), and regulatory developments (e.g., Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience in developing and executing business development strategies, from lead generation to contract closure.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to think strategically.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams and effectively manage relationships.
