Project’s Scope of Work
The position is primarily responsible for coordinating and executing international and high-impact projects involving strategic planning, execution, and delivery of corporate programs. The role will play a focal role in conceptualizing, planning, and executing events with significant global reach, making a lasting impact on the organization and stakeholders, and positioning MDEC as a leader in the nation’s digital economy agenda.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute international and high-impact events led by the Corporate Events Department, Corporate Communications, and MD Events divisions.
- Conduct due diligence to assess the merits of potential campaigns/programs against MDEC’s and its brand vision, mission, and objectives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve event goals.
- Manage activities within compliance and deadlines.
- Gather and analyze information to provide updates and insights.
- Identify and analyze risk factors, implementing mitigation measures.
- Report or escalate critical issues to management as needed.
- Develop strategic plans for international events aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead end-to-end planning for high-impact events from conceptualization to execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, sponsors, vendors, and speakers.
- Serve as the primary liaison for international partners and participants, ensuring satisfaction.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring resource allocation and financial targets are met.
- Negotiate contracts with venues and service providers for favorable terms.
- Oversee logistical aspects of event execution.
- Coordinate with teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless operations.
Ensure compliance with MDEC governance, policies, and procedures in implementing processes and programs.
- Maintain adherence to policies and procedures in project execution.
- Regularly update knowledge of policies and apply them in operations.
Coordinate Department Financial and Administrative Matters
- Prepare reports on work, KPIs, programs, budgets, and administrative matters.
- Coordinate and prepare presentation decks and documents.
- Track program reports, budgets, and operational reports.
- Manage department assets and inventory.
- Maintain and update program and work databases.
- Coordinate vendor and supplier services to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of proven experience in related fields.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Events Management, or related fields.
- Knowledge of government protocol management.
- Familiarity with local and international events and trends.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours.
