A leading company in property development seeks a Senior Executive in Corporate Communication to foster media relations and manage communication strategies. The candidate will play a vital role in enhancing brand visibility while developing CSR initiatives. This position requires excellent communication skills in English and Malay, along with a related degree and preferable work experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and Malay, both spoken and written.

Job description

Senior Executive, Corporate Communication

Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and external stakeholders to generate positive coverage and maximize media exposure.

Manage incoming media requests, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.

Write and edit high-quality content across multiple platforms, including press releases, speeches, social media posts, and other communications materials aligned with the business’s objectives.

Facilitate meetings and cooperation among authorities, agencies, and organizations.

Monitor government legislation and policy activities, particularly concerning property development and management.

Measure the success of PR and Government Relations activities and campaigns according to set KPIs.

Develop Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives with NGOs, associations, business partners, and other stakeholders.

Manage the department's budget and timeline control.

Keep the company updated with the latest PR, Government Relations, and CSR developments, including new platforms, tools, and best practices.

Able to work within deadlines, develop, and inspire the internal PR & Media team.

Job Requirements:

Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mass Communications, Linguistics/Languages, Media/Arts, or Journalism.

Preferably at least 2 years of related working experience.

Preferably an executive specializing in PR/Media/Communications or equivalent.

Good communication skills in English and Malay, both spoken and written.

Proficiency in translation skills (English & Malay).

Knowledge of Government Relations is an advantage.

Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin is an added advantage.
