Senior Executive, Cash Management

This position shall support the Cash Management daily operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of cash management related transactions and processes on a daily basis, following and complying to the applicable internal company policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Bank reconciliation

  1. Perform daily bank reconciliations, identify and investigate discrepancies.
  2. Ensure open items are reconciled and resolved in a timely manner.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely posting of cash transactions in the Oracle ERP system.
  4. Reconcile and analyze cash-related general ledger accounts.
  5. Ensure the bank reconciliation is performed in accordance to the relevant standard operating procedures.

2. Cash flow management

  1. Monitor and manage daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts.
  2. Prepare cash flow forecasts and maintain reports for internal stakeholders.
  3. Respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries and provide clear and effective communication.
  4. Coordinate with banks and internal departments to manage cash flows, fund transfers and settlements.

3. Bank accounts administration

  1. Manage the administrative matters related to bank accounts.
  2. Coordinate with banks and internal departments in regard to opening and closing of bank accounts.
  3. Support the management of bank relationships.

4. Reporting and documentation

  1. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and aging reports in a timely manner.
  2. Prepare other applicable financial reports as and when required by the Management.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit review of the Company.
  4. Assist the financial month-end closing, related to cash and bank accounts.
  5. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the cash management operations.
  6. Maintain strong internal controls related to cash handling and reconciliation processes.
  7. Ensure the standard operating procedures documentation are updated as and when required.

5. Others

  1. Perform any ad hoc and administrative tasks as and when required by the Management.

Minimum Job Requirement

Qualification:
1. Bachelor or Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
2. Internationally recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, etc.) or working towards designation will be an added advantage.

Relevant Experience:
1. At least 2 - 3 years of working experience.
2. Experience in the financial services industry such as insurance or banking will be an added advantage.

  1. Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  2. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Good problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work as a team and good stakeholders management skills.
  5. Independent, organized and possess good work ethics with a positive attitude.
  6. Flexible and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  7. Attention to details, meticulous and diligent.
  8. Efficient and able to work under pressure.
  9. Responsible and willing to learn.

Special Business Knowledge and Skills
1. Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
2. Experience with Oracle and Smartstream will be an added advantage.
3. Strong knowledge in cash flow management, treasury operations, and reconciliation procedures.
