A leading company in the insurance sector is seeking a Senior Executive for Business Planning & Initiatives in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves preparing sales reports, analyzing market trends, and supporting sales campaigns. Ideal candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and experience in the insurance industry, alongside strong analytical skills and proficiency in reporting tools like Power BI and Excel.
Prepare and update regular sales performance reports and dashboards for internal teams and external partners.
Assist in analyzing sales trends, market share and productivity metrics to identify growth opportunities and gaps.
Support report development leveraging Power BI, MS Access, Excel and maintenance under Manager’s guidance.
Campaign & Business Support
Provide administrative and operational support in executing sales campaigns and incentive programs.
Track campaign outcomes, prepare reports and assist in post-mortem analysis.
Coordinate communications and materials for sales teams on campaign mechanics and updates.
Sales onboarding & movement
Coordinate sales staff onboarding including tracking of licensing, training (TBE examinations, registration, etc) and system updates.
Maintain sales staff movement records and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely data entry (DMS, etc)
Channel Operations & Expense Tracking
Assist in monitoring budget utilization, expense claims, and marketing fund allocations related to partnership activities.
Provide support in compiling payment summaries and tracking payment status with Finance.
System & Process Improvement
Support implementation and testing of system or process enhancements affecting sales reporting, campaign tools, or operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field.
At least 2-3 years of experience in insurance/takaful support, sales analytics or other business support roles.
Exposure to bancassurance/bancatakaful partnership channels is an advantage.
Familiarity with reporting tools, such as Excel, Powerpoint; experience with Power BI, Tableau is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Good analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Access
Understanding of sales reporting concepts, campaign mechanics and performance metrics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively internally and externally.
A self-starter, team player with positive attitude i.e. responsibility, ownership on his / her own tasks and has strong ability to work independently.
