Job summary

SD Guthrie International (SDGI) is seeking a Senior Executive for Bulking & Warehousing to oversee the full scope of operational activities, manpower, machinery, and asset management in line with company policies and the Bulking Installation SOP.

The role involves coordinating with Trading, Logistics, Mills, and external tank users to receive and dispatch products, manage inter-tank transfers, and ensure cargo readiness, temperature control, and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Engineering or Logistics.
• Basic knowledge of Quality Management System requirements, including RSPO/MSPO.
• Basic knowledge of cargo handling and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational activities of bulking facilities including manpower, machinery, assets and compliance.
• Coordinate with Trading, Trade Execution, Land Logistics, SDGB Mills and third-party tank users on receive/dispatch of products.
• Manage inter-tank transfers for palm oil as per requests.
• Ensure cargo readiness per SOP, correct temperature and quality specifications.
• Liaise with shipping agent and surveyor on vessel loading operations.
• Coordinate with internal/external customers and teams on tank preparation, cleaning, segregation, pipelines, sampling and testing.
• Maintenance programme for all machinery; ensure DOSH licensing and annual inspections.
• Supervise workforce and training for new staff.
• Recommend and implement projects to upgrade bulking facilities and outsource tank cleaning when needed.
• Develop cost-reduction programmes and budgeting; prepare daily/monthly financial reports.

Roles & Responsibilities

• The Senior Executive, Bulking & Warehousing will manage and oversee overall operational activities of Bulking Facilities covering the management of manpower, machinery, product handling, fixed assets and regulatory compliance in accordance with the Company’s Policies & Bulking Installation SOP.
• Cargo Management Liaise, plan and coordinate with Trading Department, Trade Execution, Land Logistic team, SDGB Group of Mills and third-party tank users on the receive and dispatches of products.
• Manage inter tank transfer for palm oil as per tank user/mill request for normalization purposes.
• Ensure cargo readiness based on SOP prior to vessel’s arrival including maintaining right temperature and meeting quality’s specifications.
• Liaise with shipping agent and surveyor on vessel and attend loading operations once vessel arrives.
• Coordinate closely with Internal & External Customer, Trading Department and Logistic Team on tank preparation (including tank cleaning), tank segregation, pipelines cleaning, sampling and testing of cargo to ensure its handling within trade practices
• Administration and Operational Management Carry out regular corrective and preventive maintenance programme for all machinery.
• Ensure all machinery registered under the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) complies with licensing specifications and is fit and made ready for annual inspection.
• General supervision of workforce, allocating staff to specific jobs and providing in-house training for new staff.
• Recommend and propose new projects for upgrading bulking facilities.
• Plan and manage outsource service related to tank cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Develop and institute meaningful cost reduction programmes and implement budgetary control.
• Ensure daily stock report and monthly financial report are accurately prepared on timely basis and adhere to the reporting standard.
• Prepare annual budget for Operational Expenditure and Capital Expenditure in line with the Bulking operational requirements.
• Supervise staff, workers and security personnels and organize regular briefings on the job and security procedures.
• Ensure all licensing requirements in relation to bulking operations are complied with and renewed before the expiry date.
• Involve and assist the department head in developing, implementing and monitoring systems, procedures and internal control of bulking management.
• Ensure compliance with SDGI Logistic Policy.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in any Engineering or Logistics Field.
• Basic knowledge on the requirements of Quality Management System (QMS) including RSPO/MSPO
• Basic knowledge in cargo/product handling and logistic operations
