Senior Executive - Airside Services (Development - Airfield Management)
Job Description
POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY
- Conduct feasibility studies, negotiating lease agreements, and overseeing all phases of development projects, from planning and design to construction and completion to transforming unused land into valuable, revenue-generating property
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION
Airside Development
- Ensure that the land is leased and developed in a way that maximises its long term value and profitability.
- Ensure all land development activities comply with local and national regulations, especially in CAAM regulations.
- Complete land development projects within the agreed timeline and manage the allocated budget effectively.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks including financial, legal, environmental and operational risks.
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to address any concerns that arise.
- Evaluate feasibility studies to assess the potential uses of land.
- Identify potential tenants or partners to lease unused land.
- Prepare leasing agreements or contracts ensuring compliance with standards.
- Develop and manage budgets for land development projects.
- Track project milestones, resolve issues and ensure all work is done according to plan.
Airfield Management
- Responsible for on-site performance of grass cutting and drainage management at KLIA T1 and T2.
- Evaluator for on-site performance of ASD contractors at KLIA T1 and T2.
- Ensure appropriate HIRARC and TMP are provided prior to work commencement.
- Ensure timely delivery of Airside Safety Briefing for PTW and AWP requirements.
- Ensure safety standards of KLIA are in accordance with the aerodrome manual of KLIA Sepang, CAAM CAD & CAGM, and ICAO SARPS.
Skills
- Familiar with local regulations, land-use planning, and development codes.
- Experience in project management across a variety of projects.
- Experience overseeing land development processes including leasing with coordination across stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate lease terms, prices, and agreements with stakeholders.
- Able to assess and mitigate risks related to aerodrome safety including obstacle limitation surfaces and aircraft minimum separation distance requirements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Possess valid driving licence (D) and able to handle a manual transmission vehicle.

- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Aviation Management or any related discipline
External
- Bachelor Degree in Aviation Management or any related discipline
Relevant Industries
Internal
- Degree or Diploma holder with minimum of 2 years working experience in Airside Operations and proficient in aerodrome designs and operations as per CAAM CAD14 and other CAAM / ICAO related SARPS.
- Must achieve and maintain the following performance rating for two (2) consecutive years: Exceptional / A or Outstanding / B; Minimum Meet Expectations / C; The employee must not be subjected to disciplinary punishments except for disciplinary counseling, caution, reminder & warning for the past 36 consecutive months.
External
- Degree in Aviation Management, Civil Engineering or any related discipline
