Job summary

Maybank is seeking a project-focused Software Engineer to plan, design and deliver key projects from conception to completion in Kuala Lumpur. You will work with stakeholders to define scope, design ETL workflows, and resolve complex data issues in production.

Strong API, Java/PHP/Python skills and experience with web frameworks and SQL/ORM are required. You will document specifications, mentor the team, and ensure timely resolution of incidents while aligning with Moody's Analytics integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information system engineering or computer science.
• Hands-on API development experience and third-party integrations.
• Experience managing full project lifecycles.
• Ability to code in Java, JavaScript/.NET, PHP, Python.
• Experience with web frameworks (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring Boot, Apache).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM.
• Experience with testing using Maven.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Planning, execution and delivery of key projects from conception to completion.
• Work with stakeholders to define project / change request scope and detailed requirements.
• Design, development and implementation of ETL related workflows and mappings based on user requirement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data and performance issues in production environment.
• Manage incident and problem tickets, ensuring timely resolution
• Document and maintain technical documentation like Design Specifications, Interface Design Descriptions, Transformation Rules and Data Mappings.
• Proven hands-on experience in API development and integrations with 3rd party systems.
• Leading and mentoring the team; drive governance and delivery standards.
