Job summary

Micron Technology in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Equipment Technician to diagnose non-functioning electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment, dismantle/repair and assemble parts, and perform routine testouts to keep production running smoothly.

You will conduct PMs, support equipment ramp-ups, manage spare parts, and work with engineers on upgrades. A diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering and at least 1 year of hands-on experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical, electronic or electrical engineering required.
• 1+ year experience in manufacturing or SEMI testing equipment preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; good problem-solving.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming or AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up.
• Responsible for sustain equipment uptime, with hands-on troubleshooting on the equipment.
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan.
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion.
• Work on spare part/tools/meters management.

Requirements:

• Diploma in mechanical engineering & Electronic/Electrical Engineering
• Highly motivated individuals with more than1 year working experience are encouraged to apply!
• Good understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes. In-depth knowledge & hands on experience will be a plus point.
• A good teammate equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or Artificial Intelligenceapplications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI, AI Assistant, or other AI-Enabledtools is preferred.
