Job summary

Power Integrations is seeking an Equipment Engineer to maintain, improve, and sustain manufacturing and test equipment in George Town, Malaysia. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a good background in electrical and mechanical systems, and at least 8 years of experience in a semiconductor or manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support production targets, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in semiconductor / manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ATE, test handlers.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation, or control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum equipment uptime and availability to meet production goals.
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Implement upgrades, modifications, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Support installation, qualification, and commissioning of new equipment.
