Job summary

Dexcom Malaysia is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer in Penang to maintain and optimize automated manufacturing equipment, lead troubleshooting, support qualification of new systems, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor's in relevant engineering and 3–5 years in medical device/manufacturing, hands-on with automation, PLC programming, IoT, and SCADA (Ignition). Exposure to GMP/ISO13485 and FDA is preferred. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or related field.
• 3–5 years in equipment engineering within medical device/manufacturing.
• Hands-on with automated equipment, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize automated manufacturing equipment for peak performance.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Support installation, setup and qualification of new equipment.
• Perform on-site equipment buyoff and vendor acceptance testing.
• Draft IQ/OQ protocols and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate on automation, IoT, SCADA and continuous improvement projects.
