We are seeking one experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join our team in Senai, Malaysia.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will:

Be fully responsible for Engineering and Technical Support functions to drive Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) across both the Test and Manufacturing Process sections. Deliver technical support for customer products while developing engineering capabilities to meet evolving technology requirements. Enhance production processes through engineering solutions (Value Engineering) aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency, process capability, and overall product quality.

The key responsibilities are as below:

1. Strengthen Manufacturing & Engineering Processes

  • Develop, document, and implement robust manufacturing processes and Venture's Standard Operating Procedures (V-SOP).
  • Ensure full execution and compliance of V-SOPs across operations, with timely updates to enhance process governance.
  • Foster effective communication between Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure timely implementation of engineering changes and process updates, enabling products to be manufactured in line with the latest revision requirements.

2. Build Engineering Capability & Provide Technical Leadership

  • Recruit and develop a team with the right engineering skillsets to meet current and future business needs, aligned with customer and industry technology roadmaps.
  • Establish and continuously improve strong engineering processes that support business goals and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership in product testing, troubleshooting, and New Product Introduction (NPI), including prototype builds and Design for Excellence (DFx) review and analysis.
  • Lead First Level Analysis (FLA) using appropriate failure analysis tools and methodologies to debug and identify root causes of product failures; engage with customer engineering teams to communicate findings and co-develop solutions.
  • Drive best practices in engineering, including improvements in assembly processes, yield, productivity, and test coverage efficiency.
  • Contribute to new product RFQs and suggest cost-effective design improvements for existing products to reduce manufacturing costs.

3. Facilities Compliance & Equipment Management

  • Ensure manufacturing equipment is maintained through regular and preventive maintenance by the Equipment Engineering team to maximize uptime and production output.
  • Oversee compliance with local regulatory and business requirements, including environmental, health, safety, transportation, and emergency response mandates.
  • Manage reporting, permits, disclosures, and procedures related to wastewater, hazardous/medical waste, stormwater, accident prevention, pollution control, and other relevant regulatory areas.

What skills and experiences are we looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Broad understanding of various manufacturing technologies is an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is highly preferred.
  • Resourceful, responsive, and reliable, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a proven track record in driving technical solutions and meeting project timelines to support operational KPIs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on knowledge of SMT processes, Design for Excellence (DFx), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and analytically in fast-paced, solution-oriented environments.
