Job description

Responsible for water and wastewater system operation excellence, maintenance, and sustaining tasks to ensure continuous & uninterrupted supply, legal compliance, and cost-effectiveness to support site core business.

In your new role you will:

1. Ensure water and wastewater operation & maintenance meet segment / business needs and local statutory requirements.
2. Plan, monitor, and control costs related to water and wastewater system operation and maintenance activities.
3. Define operation and maintenance strategies to support business operations and growth.
4. Coordinate with various parties for proper planning and execution of operation and maintenance tasks.
5. Manage contracts and service providers involved in water and wastewater system operations, including vendor performance reviews and assessments.
6. Continuously improve the operation, maintenance, and sustainability of water and wastewater systems.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical) or a related field with demonstrated capability.
2. 3-5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, services, or engineering.
3. Familiarity with water (RO/DI) and wastewater operation & maintenance concepts & requirements for semiconductor manufacturing plants.
4. Knowledge of water and wastewater design standards, codes, specifications, permitting processes, and requirements.
5. Understanding of other infrastructure systems such as electrical, mechanical, cleanroom, and building automation.
6. Knowledge of infrastructure system acceptance & testing, including testing & commissioning, buy-off, and change management.
7. Ability to perform risk assessments of processes, equipment, and new designs using FMECA/FMEA.
8. Experience with 8D methodology, root cause analysis tools, 7 QC tools, and decision-making processes.
9. Certified Environmental Professional in the operation of industrial effluent treatment or sewage treatment (an advantage).
