About the role

As the Senior Engineer, Service Sales for Carrier, you are responsible to interacts with customers and field team members to drive Service Agreement opportunities in Malaysia market. You will also successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed Service Agreement which can deliver a net benefit to the customers besides creating and delivering powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer, Service Sales you'll be responsible for:

  • Identifies prospects and establishes a professional relationship to understand the customer needs and suggest products and/or services that meet the customers needs.
  • Participates in business development activities for prospects within defined customer segment to support the business strategy.
  • Identifies bid opportunities, prepares bid responses, and negotiates with potential customers.
  • Develops new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.
  • Supports the management team representative on prospective target accounts or territories.
  • Develops personal long-term customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.
  • Attends trade shows at times to increase the visibility of the organization and potentially influence prospects.
  • Maintain and develop professional relationships with prospects with the purpose of understanding and meeting the customers’ needs within the bounds of contracted scope.
  • Responsible for business development activities for prospects to support the business strategy defined by leadership.
  • Develops bid opportunities, prepares bid responses, participates in negotiating with potential customers and maintains customer relationships to win projects.
  • Identifies potential prospects to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services in order to create new client base and increase sales.
  • Educates prospects and advises the product line, addressing resistance in order to develop business.
  • Supports the management team representative on target accounts or territories. Maintains personal pipeline and customer log.
  • Hunting for opportunities.

Requirements:
We are looking for people who are sales driven and have a proven track record in aftermarket services. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Has bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience from aftermarket services or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Has exposure in managing sales pipeline and activities cadence
  • Has hunter mindset and hunger to achieve target
  • Open to travel within Klang Valley
