Job DescriptionIn your new role you will:
- Plan and manage Technical Feasibility Check on reliability projects with low complexity/quantity and provide feedback to Lab Planners/clients.
- Liaise internally with Lab Planner and prioritise towards achieving agreed timeline for test package release.
- Plan/carry out/liaise internally with Operation in Test Package Release & Assignment activities to achieve the required agreed priority & start date, as well as resolve all test related issues with low to high complexity/quantity.
- Maintenance/repair/modification/optimization/buy-off Automatic Test Equipment, Load/DUT boards, adapter & socket, handlers and temperature conditioning system, and resolve all the issues with low to high complexity/quantity.
- Review, update and documentation (work instruction, specification, OJTI).
- Monitor and report on test activities and provide relevant information of machine down/malfunction, early warning on delays and bottlenecks to the Head of Test Engineering.
- Maintain and develop existing methods & processes with low complexity/quantity to optimise quality, efficiency and effectiveness of reliability qualification of product/technology/material & process change.
- Participates in Continuous Improvement Project, YIP submission and problem solving using 8D methodology. Proactively share Best Practice within the local team.
- Attend training, to develop relevant knowledge and skills, and to bridge competency gap.
Your ProfileYou are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics or equivalent)/Applied Science or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) with minimum 7 years of working experience.
- Min. 5 year related experience in semiconductor testing equipment is preferred (experience in on Tri-temperature testing and working principle of Automatic Test Equipment/Handler will be an added Advantage).
- Setup, modification and optimization of Tester/Handler/Thermostream (hardware/test recipe)/Adapter & Socket and process for system with low to high complexity/quantity. Knowledge on automatic data transfer from tester to database, tester data file format and drift analysis.
- Test Package buy-off & release using AMSA and assignment of Test Package to REALIS projects.
- Tester system buy-off & release using T32 and registration in REALIS. Resolve equipment related issues with low to high complexity products.
- Basic knowledge on semiconductor physics, packaging technology, wafer technologies and the interpretation of typical electrical characteristics of semiconductor devices (parameters) which can be influenced by the change of materials/processes or by the stress applied.
- Knowledge on the working principle, troubleshooting & diagnostic/test program debugging, interpretation of simple schematic/electronic circuitry and basic repair of Automatic Test equipment with low to high complexity/quantity.
