Job description

SENIOR ENGINEER (NPI, PRODUCTION, EQUIPMENT)

Ensure operation of NPI projects complies with departmental & company policies, product qualification milestone gates, and SOPs.

Plan, coordinate, and allocate resources necessary to ensure on-time and within-budget qualification of NPI projects and First Articles submission.

Serve as the gatekeeper for all cross-functional communications related to quotation preparation and submission.

Review and approve customer drawings, bill of materials, and material specifications for NPI projects.

Conduct Design For Manufacturability (DFM) analysis and process capability studies for NPI, make vs. buy analysis, as well as capex budgeting.

Lead and resolve any technical issues arising during product qualification and FA preparation.

Lead and manage NPI project transition to mass production and perform DFMEA analysis.

Establish training and retraining programs for all subordinates and evaluate their effectiveness post-training.

Ensure all subordinates understand and adhere to the company’s quality system, rules, and regulations.

Maintain production reports, machine settings, tool life monitoring, and oversee production output & quality control.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD.
• Good analysis and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
