An established industry player seeks a skilled Marine Engineer to provide technical support and execute engineering tasks for offshore facilities. This role involves developing design philosophies and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while utilizing specialized software for analysis. JOB PURPOSE:
- To provide technical support to Lead Engineer Marine and perform engineering calculation/analysis, drawings/layouts and package specifications for project execution within stipulated schedule and cost.
- Develop and perform engineering deliverables for Marine System for tanker refurbishment/conversion and topside integration in Technology – OBU, to ensure safe, fit-for-purpose, robust and cost-effective floating offshore facilities design and operation.
- Develop Marine System design and operation philosophy, basis of design, functional specification and SOW for MSQ/RFQ of marine engineering sub-contracting services.
- Develop and perform the engineering deliverables as per project planning and schedule.
- To execute design and engineering tasks in compliance with Clients and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring tasks execution using software/tools for technical analysis meet industry standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering design of marine system for floating offshore facilities or experience onboard oil tanker.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in design and engineering on New Build Hull and conversion of existing oil tanker to floating offshore facilities (i.e. FPSO/FSO, FLNG, etc.).
- Experienced in the use of relevant analysis software (e.g. PipeNet, PipeData Pro, Flow Master, etc.).
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine or other related engineering) discipline or Class 1 or 2 Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency Foreign Going Unlimited.
- Registered with BEM or equivalent recognized professional body certification i.e. UK Chartered Engineer.
