Senior Engineer Machine Learning

Job Description

In your new role you will:

1. Design software, specify software requirements, implement high-quality software, realize automated software testing for productive rollouts, and manage the technological software lifecycle.
2. Focus on the development of AI services and solutions that integrate into the existing IT landscape.
3. Contribute to creating effective and efficient analytics and AI/ML business processes and oversee aspects of application life cycles, from requirements analysis, design, and implementation phases up to stable operations.
4. Collaborate with data scientists, administrators, business analysts, and architects on production systems and applications.
5. Solve complex problems with multilayered data sets and optimize the use of existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
6. Contribute to scaling and deployment of existing AI solutions to other sites in our global manufacturing cluster.
7. Design and drive the introduction of DevOps / MLOps concepts and automated testing.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

1. A bachelor's/master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
2. High analytical skills, keen perception, and an independent problem-solving attitude to approach new challenges.
3. Solid experience working in agile teams, being self-organized, and showing personal responsibility.
4. At least 3 years of work experience with relevant technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Seldon Core, Git, REST API, Jenkins, Tekton, MLFlow, Jupyter, TensorFlow, PyTorch, KNIME) and coding languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, C#).
5. Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best practice patterns in machine learning.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills in English and experience working in international teams.
7. Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies in AI, Machine Learning, and software development.
