Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level SAP Basis support and system maintenance, including system health checks, daily monitoring of system performance & tuning, system installation, upgrade, patching, SAP Note check & implementation, client copies/system refreshes, transport management, user administration, etc.
- Provide project support and coordinate for the SAP functional area.
- Manage incident ticket and change request handling, including security & authorization, job administration, connection problems, troubleshooting functional topics, etc.
- Perform problem management such as root-cause analysis of problems, reports to superiors on service-impacting issues, and actively participate in follow-up actions to restore service to normal levels.
- Responsible for ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Accountable for continuous system optimization, monitoring, and problem analysis/resolution.
- Provide guidance to junior team members.
- Work in shifts and provide standby support during out-of-office hours, including weekends and public holidays, according to company arrangements.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in SAP system administration within SAP S/4HANA, ECC 6.0, SAP CRM, SAP PI, SAP BW, SAP Portal, SAP Solution Manager, and ABAP.
- Experience with at least 2 SAP go-live cycles, including system migration, interface setup, and system refresh.
- Knowledge of operating systems and database technologies such as Sun Solaris, LINUX RedHat, Oracle, Windows Server, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority items simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and proactive teamwork.
- Effective interpersonal skills for working with global teams.
- Ability to transfer knowledge and awareness to colleagues and clients/users.
- Adherence to policies and procedures when resolving issues, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to create support documentation and procedures for routine and non-routine tasks.
