Job summary

INTERNATIONAL FACILITY ENGINEERING (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a senior Gas Engineer to design, tender, and monitor installation of bulk and specialty gas systems for semiconductor, electronics, biopharma, and related industries in Malaysia.

You will prepare capacity-based designs, including P&IDs, PFDs, layouts, and tender documents, while reviewing contractor proposals and supporting installation. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and CAD/BIM designers to deliver projects,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing high-purity and specialty gases/systems for semiconductor or related facilities.
• Ability to interpret URS and design schematics, PFDs, P&IDs, routing layouts and specs.
• Experience in chemical system design is a definite advantage.
• Familiarity with Semi and Singapore standards, and CAD/BIM tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, tender, and monitor installation of bulk and specialty gas systems for industrial properties.
• Collate client capacity requirements and prepare conceptual designs and detailed tender documents.
• Review contractor proposals and support during installation as required.
• Collaborate with architects, civil, cleanroom, electrical, automation, mechanical, and CAD/BIM designers.
• Present designs to clients and engineers; travel/relocate as needed.

Job description

*The senior Gas Engineer will work on designing, tendering, and monitoring the installation of bulk gas and special gas systems for industrial properties in semiconductors, electronics, biopharma, and related industries.

*The gas systems include bulk gases, high-purity inert gases, flammable gases, corrosive gases, hazardous gases, and related distribution networks.

*The senior Gas Engineer will collate the client’s capacity requirements and specifications and prepare the conceptual design, make a detailed design for system capacity, configuration, schematic, P&ID, PFD, layout, distribution, and system parameters, and prepare documents like the scope of work, reports, specifications, standards, logistics, and detailed drawings for tender. He or she will review proposals from contractors and continue to support them during installation when required.

*The successful candidate will work closely with other disciplines such as architects, civil, cleanroom, electrical, automation, mechanical, and construction engineers, as well as CAD/ BIM designer in designing and delivering the project.

Requirements:-

*You should have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.

*You should have sound experience in designing high-purity, and specialty gases and systems related to semiconductors manufacturing or similar facilities.

*You should be able to comprehend clients’ URS, and design with concept design, schematics, PFDs, P&IDs, routing layout, the scope of work, specifications, and functional descriptions.

*The experience in designing chemical systems will be definite added advantage.

*Your familiarity with the Semi standards and Singapore standards, manufacturing tools, materials, and CAD/ BIM will be an added advantage.

*You should be able to make presentations to clients and engineers on design, tendering, project execution, supervising progress, and quality of work.

*Able to work independently.

*Able to travel / relocate.
