Job summary

Panduit in Johor Bahru is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer who will develop embedded hardware and firmware for power-electronics prototypes. You’ll own firmware from control to diagnostics and contribute to analog/digital circuit design and hardware bring-up.

You’ll work closely with the Power Electronics team and collaborate with the U.S. R&D group to deliver reliable PoC systems. The role requires hands-on firmware with C/C++ on MCUs, extensive debugging, and strong documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• Typically 8+ years of embedded systems development with hands-on firmware responsibility.
• Strong C/C++ firmware development on microcontrollers with peripheral drivers and real-time control.
• Experience with ADCs, PWM, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet-class interfaces.
• Experience with analog/mixed-signal circuits, sensing, isolation, and protection.
• Experience with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for MCUs in power-electronics prototypes.
• Develop and integrate low-level drivers for ADCs, PWM, GPIO, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet.
• Implement control sequences, state machines, diagnostics, and fault management.
• Create firmware and simple tools to bring up and characterize prototypes.
• Collaborate with Power Electronics Engineers to integrate firmware with hardware.
• Lead board bring-up and debug hardware‑firmware interactions.
• Develop diagnostic firmware, test utilities, scripts, and documentation.
