Job summary

Panduit Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior-Principal Embedded Systems Engineer – Hardware & Firmware to own firmware for prototype power-electronics systems. You will work on low-level drivers, sensors, and communications, and partner with hardware engineers to enable robust PoC demonstrations.

The role requires 8+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with analog/mixed-signal circuits, EMC/EMI considerations, and hardware bring-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of embedded systems development with firmware responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on firmware development using C/C++ on microcontrollers.
• Experience with ADCs, PWM, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet interfaces.
• Experience with Altium Designer and hardware bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers used in power-electronics prototypes and PoC systems.
• Develop and integrate low-level drivers and interfaces for ADCs, PWM/timers, GPIO, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet or other peripherals.
• Implement prototype control sequencing, state machines, communications, telemetry, diagnostics, protection, and fault-management functions.
• Develop firmware and simple software tools to bring up, operate, characterize, and demonstrate prototypes.
• Collaborate with Power Electronics Engineers to integrate firmware with PFC, DC/DC, sensing, protection, and system-control hardware.
• Lead board bring-up and debug hardware-firmware interactions using test equipment.
