• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Solid experience with Embedded Linux and/or RTOS.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, SSL/TLS.
• Proven experience designing embedded software architecture and delivering products.
• Strong debugging and mentoring experience.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the design and development of embedded software for our next-generation IoT and automotive connectivity solutions.

In this role, you'll architect embedded systems, solve complex technical challenges, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with Product Management, Hardware, Test Engineering, and Field Application Engineering teams throughout the complete product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software solutions on Linux and RTOS platforms using C/C++.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, and high-performance embedded software systems.
• Lead software development from architecture and implementation through testing, integration, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and system-level issues involving embedded Linux, networking, modem software, and hardware interfaces.
• Perform code reviews, establish software engineering best practices, and continuously improve software quality.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and code reviews.
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to software architecture, technical roadmap planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Solid experience with Embedded Linux and/or RTOS.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT and SSL/TLS.
• Proven experience designing embedded software architecture and delivering products from concept to production.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring software engineers.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Nice to Have

Candidates with experience in any of the following will have an added advantage:

• Cellular modem software or wireless technologies (LTE, LTE-M, NB-IoT, 5G NR)
• Embedded Linux development using Yocto or Buildroot
• ARM-based embedded platforms
