Design, develop, maintain, and enhance embedded software and firmware solutions using C and modern C++ (C++17 and above).
Develop software for ARM Cortex-M based microcontrollers, including STM32 and Renesas platforms. Implement and maintain real-time embedded applications running on FreeRTOS.
Analyze, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported issues, field issues, and production-related software defects.
Collaborate closely with electronics, systems, software, and mechanical engineering teams to integrate and optimize product functionality.
Develop and maintain communication interfaces and protocols including SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
Perform software testing, debugging, verification, and root cause analysis to ensure product reliability and quality.
Contribute to software architecture discussions, technical specifications, and implementation of development best practices.
Maintain software documentation, design records, coding standards, and development guidelines.
Develop and maintain engineering tools, test utilities, and integration tooling using Python and C#.
Participate in software verification and validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
Support technical reviews, risk assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and Agile/Scrum development activities.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on embedded software or firmware development experience.
Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11/C++17 or newer) and object-oriented software design principles.
Good working knowledge of embedded C programming.
Hands-on experience developing software for microcontroller-based systems, preferably STM32, Renesas, NXP, TI C2000, or similar platforms.
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), preferably FreeRTOS.
Strong understanding of embedded architectures, hardware-software integration, and real-time system design.
Hands-on experience with communication interfaces and protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
Experience with software development tools including Git, debugging and profiling tools, build environments, and testing frameworks.
Experience analyzing and resolving complex software, hardware, and system-level issues.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to drive projects independently.
Experience within medical devices, laboratory automation, diagnostics, robotics, or other regulated industries.
Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or other regulated software development standards.
Experience with motion control systems, motor control, sensing technologies, or precision instrumentation.
Exposure to electronic circuit design, schematic interpretation, and hardware debugging.
Experience using Python and/or C# for automation, test tooling, integration utilities, or engineering productivity tools.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
Experience with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and software quality assurance practices.
Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadership within engineering teams.
