Job summary

Techstreet Malaysia in Shah Alam is seeking an R&D Software Engineer to join our automotive software team, developing firmware and low-level drivers for embedded platforms. You will participate in board bring-up, I2C/SPI/UART interfaces, and work on embedded Linux/Android porting, kernel and device tree configuration.

The role requires at least 3 years in software or embedded development, strong C/C++/Python skills, experience with debugging, version control, and familiarity with ASPICE, ISO

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development or embedded systems development.
• Experience in programming languages in C/C++/Phyton.
• Experience with software debugging and testing tools.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Familiarity with software verification and validation methodologies.
• Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO/SAE 21434 is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and low-level drivers for embedded platforms (MCUs, SoCs).
• Participate in board bring-up, peripheral initialization, and interface coding (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO).
• Assist in embedded Linux/Android porting and kernel/device tree configuration.
• Prepare and maintain software development documentation, including requirements, design descriptions, test reports, and release notes.
• Execute software verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with customer and automotive requirements.
• Support APQP activities and contribute to DFMEA, risk assessments, and product development deliverables
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Support production and test engineering with firmware issues during manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, APQP Requirements and automotive software standards (e.g., ASPICE, MISRA).
