Job Description:

This role involves designing machine control systems to meet CE and safety standards, preparing electronics circuit diagrams, and improving electrical processes. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, redesigning products to enhance functionality or reduce costs, and overseeing prototype development and testing. The position also requires documenting engineering changes, providing training, troubleshooting internal and external product issues, and supporting the assembly process. Additionally, the role includes managing projects, participating in 5S activities, and assisting with part selection and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of machine control systems according to CE & local safety requirements
• Preparation of Electronics Circuit Diagrams (ECD) for serial assembly, upgrades, and new machines
• Identify deficiencies in electrical processes/components and develop improvements
• Collaborate with management, sales, assembly, R&D, procurement, and suppliers on product ideas
• Conduct market research and evaluate similar products
• Redesign products to improve functionality, reduce lead-time, or cut costs
• Create design projects and specification sheets with test instructions
• Present designs and prototypes to management, sales, or customers
• Oversee the engineering of prototypes
• Develop and distribute Engineering Change Notices (ECN)
• Test and document prototype functionality, usability, and durability
• Resolve product issues internally and externally, remotely or on-site
• Conduct and document training for relevant personnel
• Coordinate with Project Managers for resource allocation and tracking
• Practice 5S activities regularly in the workspace
• Act as internal project manager when assigned
• Prepare analyses and solutions for corrective actions
• Perform hands-on assembly support when needed
• Assist in part sourcing and procurement, providing technical support to suppliers
• Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors

Requirements:

• Master craftsman or engineer in electronics
• Good communication skills, able to work independently and in teams
• Experience with E-CAD systems (Siggraph, CAD), Microsoft Office, database ProFile, P2
• Proficient in English
• Knowledge of regulations, laws, and standards relevant to machine design
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Teamwork, attention to detail, problem-solving, leadership, multi-tasking abilities
