Responsibilities
You are responsible for preparing technical proposals that are of good quality, competitive, complete, compliant with client requirements, and delivered in a timely manner. You will assist the sales team in meeting clients for technical clarification and in closing sales targets. Candidates with extensive experience and a proven track record can be considered for a senior position.
- Support the sales team in preparing technical proposals.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and project team members on pricing and technical compliance.
- Build, customize, and deliver sales presentations; maintain and manage clients’ database and prospect data in our sales database.
- Proactively work with the Sales Team to seek new opportunities to win new markets and fully understand customers' businesses and requirements.
- Work with the Sales Team and Department Managers in negotiating variations in price, delivery, and specifications; advise on forthcoming project developments.
- Report to the Manager on weekly sales proposal activities; review sales performance in the relevant assigned systems, clients, and markets.
- Assist the Managers in gathering competitors’ business information (intelligence) and conducting relevant market research/analysis.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to organize and staff road shows, exhibitions, and marketing activities.
- Be in charge of documentation such as Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders, Purchase Requisitions, and other sales transaction documents.
- Perform any other duties assigned by a superior.
Requirements
- Possess a degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Marine/Offshore/Oil and Gas industry.
- Good experience working in Technical Sales, Proposal, or Engineering Design/Technical or Project Execution/Management positions.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibit a high level of personal responsibility and self-motivation, with a 'can do' attitude.
- Able to travel frequently with sales members and visit potential clients.
- Demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A self-starter with the ability to multi-task and handle work pressure well.
